Analysis On Color Psychology Of Baskin-Robbins


  • Communicated Color Identity

            According to the research I have done to the Baskin-Robbins Logo, based on the reviews I got much information as possible to the public and users do not know about the purposes behind Baskin-Robbins logo itself and also the history of the logo. But here I just made a detailed study of the user's purpose in the colors of Baskin-Robbins logo. Baskin-Robbins in their logo, which is using three colors, pink, blue and white. Color pink in the drawing icon logo for Baskin-Robbins, namely small pink spoon. Where this scoop will be given to customers to taste each flavor ice-cream before making a choice and it's drawing number 31 in the logo, it means the Baskin-Robbins has 31 flavors of type ice-cream. For the color white and blue on the other hand means stand for such qualities as excellence, elegance, purity and reliability. While the blue color is more representative of the quality and excellence of the product.


  • Actual Identity

            From my research about Baskin-Robbins currently logo, I have my own opinion about the use of color in the logo. For my opinion, I agree with the use of the color pink and blue in the Baskin-Robbins logo. For me the purpose of wishing to be served by the manufacturer of the highly effective logo and has its own purpose. For the use of pink and blue for me, very interesting: user. This is because the color used is a cool color, and cool color reflects something cool and happy. And pink and blue color combination is perfect for presenting something that is palatable and of interest to anyone who sees it. And it is also symbolic of the Baskin-Robbins tell because if kite look pink and blue color combination we would be inconceivable for something that is ice-cream.


  • Conceived Identity

            Based on observations of Baskin-Robbins logo colors of people, I found there are some opinions that are very different from all the actual statement. Some have argued that the use and combination of color pink and blue in the logo is inappropriate because it looks very chirpy nature. Some said, the color that makes them feel like to enjoy that because it looks ice-cream cool and tasty. And some even agree with the color and they stated the color is perfect for cool things like the tranquility of ice-cream and it looks like something delicious, creamy and smooth.



  • Desired Identity

            Based on the actual identity and identity conceived, I found discrepancy ideas and opinions of users of color in the Baskin-Robbins logo, where there are some who agree, like and stating it is very suitable for use in the logo. And that might not quite agree because for them the color cannot be attracted and their tastes. But for me, I very much agree with the use and combination of color used on the Baskin-Robbins logo. This is because for me the pretty pink and blue drawing identity of ice-cream and it is a cool color.


  • Ideal Identity

            Suggestion I could give to the Baskin-Robbins based on the analysis and the research on Baskin-Robbins logo, select the use of color is the background to boost and support the color from the logo itself. And also, in the logo for me should put the slogan "Count the Flavors", Baskin-Robbins as providing 31 flavors of ice-cream type. And many who do not know that in the logo of Baskin-Robbins there is number 31 and it is colored pink, it shows the number of available flavors. With the slogan, perhaps by putting it more of interest to the public.
