Thus, I went to one of the stores
that are there to record and interview the person making the Indian Flower
Garlands. I have to interview one person who is fimiliar to make the Indian
Flower Garlands . His name is Nadarajan A/L Ganapathy. According to him, the business

flower his use to make the Indian Flower Garlands is chrysanthemum

is general in Indian Cultural but his will mix with other color to get a
contra in Indian Flower Garland.
Figure 6 : chrysanthemum
flowers (bunga kekwa) with yellow color
From
research I make, for make the Indian Flower Garlands should have some basic
material such as, the most important is flower, banana bark ( dried in the sun
to dry it), and plastic ropes (tali rafia). From what I saw during Mr. Nadarajan
make the Indian Flower Garlands there are several steps, such as, first his
will cut the chrysanthemum flowers (bunga kekwa) heads off the stems, leaving a
quaters to half an inch of stem remaining. Second take the banana bark dried
and cut a lenght of plastic ropes (tali rafia) as what we need. Third, take the flowers and put at the banana
bark, and tie with plastic ropes (tali rafia). Continue to add flowers onto the
Garland, alternating colors or flower sizes. After that, snip the plastic ropes
(tali rafia) at the needle to release it and tie the loose ends into a knot to secure
it. Finally, bring the beginning and ending banana bark (which head dried)
together and tie them in a knot to close the Indian Flower Garlands into a
loop. And make sure the slide of the flowers around to even up the spacing if
needed around the tied ends. Time taken to complete
a Indian Flower
Garlands is in 5 unti 10 minutes but depends at the size we want made, if the
Indian Flower Garlands to be made quite large size, then the time taken is also
quite long.
Furthermore, other information I got from the interview
with Mr. Nadarajan, chrysanthemum flowers (bunga kekwa) are colored other than
white and yellow , it will be dyed the appropriate color for a Indian Flower
Garlands made of flowers. Colors are usually available as well as white and yellow
are the colors of orange , purple , and blue . And according to Mr . Nadarajan
to get the colors to be painted first. And it will be colored using the color
of the powder . Not only that, to get the color blue flowers and purple should
using white chrysanthemums flower (bunga kekwa) . And to get orange colored
flowers , they will use a yellow chrysanthemum flowers (bunga kekwa) . All
flowers will be finished and colored by the supplier before delivery to stores
to make this Indian Flower Garland. Based on the information that I get all the
flowers brought from Cameron Highland . And all the flowers will be done is
still in fresh condition on arrival in the shops make the Indian Flower
Garlands.

Other chrysanthemum
flowers (bunga kekwa) are used to make Indian Flower Garlands, there are other
flowers may use Indian people of jasmine flowers (bunga melur). Jasmine flower
(bunga melur) is very popular in Indian Cultural because jasmine flower (bunga
melur) is represent Indian Cultural. Jasmine flower (bunga melur) though it is
small,
but it has a very
fragrant smell. Usually Indian Flower Garlands made from jasmine flower (bunga
melur) will be used for all events, especially at the ceremony of marriage. And
will also be used by women in India to put at their head plus as the their ornaments.
Basically, jasmine flowers (bunga melur) is a flower of
the tropical temperate regions of the world. This flower has reached India
through cultivation. Other uses of jasmine flower (bunga melur) in Indian
Cultural, the flowers are worn by women in thier hair mostly in southern and
Southeast Asia. In India Cultural,
jasmine flower (bunga melur) is also said to have cultural importance. Jasmine
flower (bunga melur) is associated with Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. The flowers
are used in religious offerings too. The jasmine flower (bunga melur) have
significance in wedding ceremonies too. The flowers are essential for daily
consumption also. It also these sweet smelling flowers have a refreshing effect
on the mind and soul of a human being. (Ltd., 2008) .
For make the Indian Flower Garlands from jasmine flower
(bunga melur), it way of doing this is same by making a Indian Flower Garlands
from chrysanthemums flower (bunga kekwa) just need to tie it at the thread. And
according to Mr. Nadarajan the materials we need is only thread, plastic ropes
(tali rafia) and the most important is jasmine flower (bunga jasmine). What I
get from my interview and I saw how Mr. Nadarajan make the Indian Flower
Garlands from jasmine flower ( bunga melur), it have some step and ways. First,
start with a bunch of flower adaquate for the lenght of flower thread we want
to make. Second, with the thread comfortably on a finger, place two flowers on
top of the thread in opposite direction to each other to the thread at the same
time, and hold it in place with our thumb from the top. Third, loop the thread
around the flowers, do this twice or thrice for the first knot to give extra strenght.
After that, with our finger, make other loop and pass one of the flowers
through it. Then pass the free end of the string through the loop and pull to
get a knot. And add pairs of jasmine flower (bunga melur) until it’s as long we
want. Finally, we can put another flower to make it look more beautiful and
after finish we can put at oour head.

In my interview with Mr.Nadarajan, I also inquired about
the prices he has to offer to every customers who comes at his the shop who
wants to buy a wants to buy a Indian Flower Garlands from him shop and made his
own. According to him, since he is in the business right now many other stores
that sell the same thing Indian Flower Garlands too, so he had put a prices
commensurate to her and business can compete with other healthy ways. by
Mr.Nadarajan, the price he put on each garland is different. It is based on the
size of the Indian Flower Garlands. This is because in his shop there are many
different size of Indian Flower Garlands , for example, large necklace, medium
and small. For the price of a big Indian Flower Garlands Mr. Nadarajan put at RM 50 to RM 100, as it
requires a lot of interest and take a long time to complete. For medium sized
of Indian Flower Garlands it is valuable
in the RM 15 to RM 30. And for the small cost only about RM 5 to RM 10 because
it does not take a long time to complete and do not use a lot of flowers to
make the Indian Flower Garlands .
Furthermore, and for the price of Indian Flower Garlands
made with jasmine flower (bunga melur), the Mr. Nadarajan will put the price
of RM 0.60. But according to Mr. Nadarajan there is a way to measure the Indian
Flower Garlands of jasmine flower (bunga
melur), the way is measured from the tip of the finger to the elbow only. And
the length is to be calculated at RM 0.60 only. If it is too long, it will be
cut to short according to the customers who come. All prices of Indian Flower
Garlands is available in stores Mr. Nadarajan it is not to expensive because
the pricing is reasonable with the way it was done, it looks tidy, perfect, and
beautiful.
From research I have done, each of Indian Flower Garlands
have different sizes, and they are also different purpose. For large size of
Indian Flower Garlands has a specific meaning and use, and the same as a small
size of Indian Flower Garlands. For the large size of of Indian Flower
Garlands, Indian people usually put in their Gods as a sign of respect. And it
will also be used on the day of death as a sign of farewell and tribute. The large
size of of Indian Flower Garlands is also commonly used as a sign of appreciation.
And for the small size of Indian Flower Garlands is usually for social
gatherings of small event.
With the research and interviews I did, I got a lot of
info and input about this Indian Flower Garlands, such as, in Indian Cultural,
is an important and it is the symbolic of traditional role in all festival and
for the Gods with Indian Flower Garlands made from fragrant flower (bunga
melur). The Indian Flower Garlands also in wedding the couple will wearing a
weeding of Indian Flower Garlands, it maybe from chrysanthemum flower (bunga
kekwa), jasmine flower or roses. The Indian Flower Garlands it is used to show
respect to an individual person or statue.
In Indian Cultural, which women will wear at their during traditional
festivals, it is made usually from jasmine flower (bunga melur). Women of India
usually wear these when they wear sarees and they will pinned in their hair
with other flowers such as, roses.
According to Indian Cultural, The Indian Flower Garlands
to be gifted or offered, shouldn’t be smelled. The Indian Flower Garlands are
used as religious offerings, and festivies.
Every the Indian Flower Garlands is each carring an inherent cultural

Indians, they are not merely offered at the places of worship event for a
special ceromony they will use the the Indian Flower Garlands.
