Final Learning Outcomes

Propose and create practical visual solutions using appropriate media, I using adobe illustrator for create my layout and make a design in my book and create my own pattern with wacom tablet. And I also apply hand made in my book project such as do the emboss, die cut, cut the paper to make some design in my book. For my mock-up also I do by hand made, the mock-up just want to get a imaged for the final outcome of my book. Not only that, for create layout and grid, and I also do book binding from hand made. For example, create layout and grid I should find the the some layout from magazine and I sketches the grid. After that, I cut some images and text and I paste that on the grids. For book binding, I should make three types of binding such as perfect binding, stapler binding and stitch binding. Demonstrate a synthesis of ideas and practice through production of a book,I finalize the ideas of contents and I make a mock-up to practice and do some experiments with the paper I want use,sketches some layout and create the design. Finish that with the perfect binding.

Research, recognise and identify traditional method of print based book production, the first thing I do is, thinks about the paper I want to use in my final book project. I make some research about the paper such as Chinese paper, and try to find it. After I finish my layout and everything I try to do test print for get how the outcome. If I satisfied with the test print,then I print out all thing with the paper I choose. Demonstrate through participation an ability to present idea in group situations and articulate a critical distance, do the discussion with classmate about how to create the layout for our book and studies new icons for image and text or typo in the our layout. And learnt three important thing, such as layout, typography and image/visual/graphics. The three thing must have to get a perfect book. Not only that, we we also need to make some groups to discuss how to create a layout based on the types of books recommended by the lecture. And we are also working together to set up the display place to our book project such as bent the hanger, tie the fishing line and hanging the things.
