Experimentation On Wood

Before I start doing my d.i.y over pour brewing coffee, I experimentation of the color on my wood. I find the suit color, paint or technique that can suit it my wood and concept. After I get some opinion and advise from my lecture and supervisor, I finally using shellac and wood stain. The purpose of shellac is for make the tone surface of wood look same. And for the wood stain to did the wood look shiny and clean. And from the experimentation, I get a result of two types of finishing. For the first time, I just put the shellac but the outcome not nice and not clear. After that, I try just put the wood stain but the outcome also not really nice and to sticky and shiny. And because of that, after see the outcome from both finishing, I decide to put shellac for the base layer, after it dry I put the wood stain as the second layer (two layer of wood stain). After that, I put the shellac as the last layer.
