- Robusta coffees are easier and cheaper to grow, but they taste harsher and more bitter.  However, there is more to coffee’s taste than the type of bean used.  The way the coffee is roasted ultimately determines how it will taste to the drinker.

- Arabica accounts for the largest percentage of the worlds coffee production.
Liberica

West African. And also grown primarily in Malaysia.
-Well-grown tree that can reach 1.8m high with large leathery leaves.

-Third in importance among commercially produced coffees behind Arabica and Robusta.
- Generally inferior flavor and aroma characteristics compared to those other   coffee varieties.
- It is similar to Robusta beans tasting characteristics and is still found in parts of Central and East Java nowadays.
- Liberica coffee is grown in Malaysia and in West Africa, but since demand for its flavour characteristics is low, only very small quantities are traded
