Layout And Grid

In the task I should make the layout of the book and grid. Grid mean how to we arrange the text and image in the layout of the book we want make. The aim of task to we learnt how to make layout and grids with professional design to create some books. Grids have three types,like single grid, two grids, and three grids and other one is double spread layout. The materials should have such as books, magazines, tracing paper, glue, scissors and pencil. First, we should find layout we like from the magazine or book. Then, we trace back the layout, the image and text using tracing paper. After we have the grid, we must cut of the image what we want but should have a theme. After that we paste the pieces of the image.


This is my outcome for the task. Have three layout and grids I did :-

For the first my layout and grid. For this layout and grid I choose double spread layout. It is because double spread layout have more space to I arrange the image and text. I choose theme make-up for the first layout and grid because girl like read magazine, and they most like reading about make-up, how to make the properly make-up and get information about the new brand for make-up stuff. For my this layout and grid I most to  make a clean and uncluttered. For the side page I used for put the make-up stuff like lipstick, blusher, eye-shadow, and some text for read. And for next page I put the image like the outcome using the make-up stuff like at the side page and some text for the image. So reader can  easily see which stuff are used and the outcomes.

The second layout and grid show about theme of interior design. For the layout and grid I also choose double spread layout. For this layout and grid I put more to image because reader want see the image about interior design and the materials. I put the image of kitchen,living room, bedroom and the decoration such as lamp, vase and so on. I also put some text for information for reader to get knowledge and idea from the image. And for this layout and grid I just make clean and easily to read.

For the last my layout and grid I choose theme of fashion and style. This is also I used double spread layout. In the layout I put more to image, the image focus to fashion and styles and some text about the image. For this layout and grid seem quite messy and irregular. Because I want the layout look like own arrangement and related to the theme. I also put the text for brand of the fashion like "ck" and "roxy".  The arrangement make reader not bored when they read.
