Book Binding

New experiences this week !!!

           We should make three types of a square shape book binding, such as stitch binding, stapler binding, and perfect binding. For stapler and perfect binding we have seen but for stitch binding rarely do we see. Actually, for stitch binding is really quite complicated to make but it fun doing it, give us new knowledge  about book binding. For stitch binding we  need a needles and threads to sew, stapler binding need stapler and eraser, and perfect binding should have glue and hard cover.

The first book binding I make is stitch binding :-

First I should make layer by layer for stitch the each of page. For my stitch binding I just make three layers. I sew each layer using a thread and I combined together to get a perfect book. For the cover page I using the  harder paper, after that, I combined with each layer of pages I have complete. Then, I sew again, but at this part I use another thread, I use thicker yarn fabric. I sew again with  the each layer of the page.

After I finish the stitch binding, I did the another book binding it is perfect binding.

The first thing I do is make sure that the each of page is in square shape. And I should attach a page with another one page for get a balanced every page. Then I use the hard paper (like mounting board) to make a cover. Before that, I should make measurements at hard paper to get a best shape before I paste the pages. When, the cover done, I should use the glue to paste the every pages I done at the cover. Picture below show what I done for perfect binding :-

For the last book binding I make is stapler binding. I just need stapler and eraser.

The stapler binding is a easy to make. What should I do is make sure the size is square shape. After that, I fold the paper and divided into two parts it is for get a guide line to put the stapler. After I get the guide line at the middle of the page, I put the eraser at below and put the stapler at the top of paper, but before that I make a cover page using hard paper. Then, stapler together. After that, I invert the book, and I take out the eraser and bend the stapler pin which is inside the book look tidy and safe. And done !!!
